Spider-man is cool
So I'm thinking about purchasing this laptop here. Although, this may be a wait til Christmas thing...

http://www.dell.com/us/en/home/notebooks/laptop-inspiron-10/pd.aspx?refid=laptop-inspiron-10&s=dhs&cs=19&~oid=us~en~29~fasttrack_win7_anav_16~~

I'm looking for an inexpensive, TINY and LIGHT laptop that can at least play movies. It's mostly for tv and movie watchin', so it needs to have some kind of video out, like HDMI or DVI, so I can hook it up to my flatscreen.

Also would be nice to have for traveling though!

I found that one because I've had so many Dell's that worked great, but... I dunno, is that a good deal?
Does anybody have more recommendations on tiny laptops?

One day I'll figure this out myself and feel really dumb for asking, but I gotta wonder...

How does opensource software exist? If it's free, how are they making any $$$? How do they keep the lights on?

Stuff like Wordpress. I don't understand how, it's just so convenient, how can it be free?

I haven't used my mood icons in a million years!

Be jealous of me!!!

One of our clients sent the studio a Keurig coffee maker as a gift.

IT IS AMAZING. I love the Donut Shop coffee, so tasty.

Okay, so I bought an Intuos4 today. That means I'm gonna have 2 extra tablets.

So check out my Ebay listing.

Small Bamboo Fun Tablet! BRAND NEW!

http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=290365709746&ssPageName=ADME:L:LCA:US:1123

It was kind of an... oops! I don't actually like this tablet that much... its just too small for me, but I imagine, it would be an awesome thing to have if you just wanna doodle or just can't stand using a mouse all the time.

I'm going to sell the old Intuos2 as well! It is 9x12, but in very worn condition. In spite of its age, it works very well. I'm using it right now since I put the Bamboo back in the box.

It was just held together with duct tape, because you know, I used to travel with it. I learned how to draw on it... These things have a lifetime warranty.

I'm actually kind of sad! ;_;

bye bye Intuos2... you are for saaale....

So I know for sure that I'm moving away from New York next year. I LIKE NY, but I don't love it. I'm thinking Austin would be a good next place to live. My brother lives there, and my parents live in Houston, so it might be nice to live closer to family. That's a pro.

CON: must have car...

PRO: warm most of the year!

CON: No beaches...

PRO: cost of living is low (compared to say, CA or NY)

CON: MUST HAVE CAR. (this is true, right? could be a pro! I just don't like spending extra $$$... )

...

I also might want to live somewhere in CA, but I don't know so much about CA except that um, it was really cool when I visited...?

Post a picture in my comments of what you think describes me when you think about what/who I am. No matter how surreal or plain.

Give no written explanation.

Just an image.

I saw this in the window at Ricky's, and was like that looks like an almost perfect container for my art supplies! okay... wait, this mesh pencil bag is 15 dollars.

http://store.rickysnyc.com/product-p/3665945858.htm

Come ON, really? WHYYYYY

So on the other hand I just bought 3 different sketchbooks, 2 different sizes of click-erasers and a vermillion col-erase pencil for 16 bucks, which is feel is a pretty fair deal. Yeah, I'm going to try the whole drawing in a sketchbook thing again...
I really wanted another Robert Bateman sketchbook but they're even expensive online these days.

I think I'm also going to buy a new scanner tonight mmmmaaaybe …

The thing that started it all, is that I recently dug this out of the ashes and gave it new name and am quite possibly posting in it again.

My sketch blog –

Note that there are no new posts since 2007. :I

I'm eating a spinach wrap from Starbucks, and I get these all the time, but this one is like, SO MUCH BETTER THAN USUAL, SO GOOD! It's overstuffed and gooey and just generally amazingly tasty, mmmm...
And now... it's gone, into my belly, goodbye spinach wrap.... ;_;

And I'm really horrible, but I ignored the internet for awhile. And didn't post about my trip to California and my trip to AC in Pittsburgh July 4th weekend. I really just posted about that on FA, and Facebook, which make sense. I still have some pretty hilarious blurry photos that I haven't gotten off my phone camera though. Fail.

But just for my OWN reference. [info]basalt made a fully detailed post on the trip to Cali complete with pictures – mine and hers. [info]jigglykat linked Basi's journal too sooo yeah...

And that's all I got to say about that.

AC has been conquered!

Oh man, what a trip! What an awesome break from reality. I had fun, more details on the whole con later. I took the air train from JFK airport. Way more frugal than a cab, but it took me 2 hours to get home. My energy is spent!

OOPS!!

So I'm getting ready to go to AC! I just finished printing out a bunch of sample sheets of some newer art or whatever.

And then just now, I was printing some google maps of the area so I wouldn't get lost or forget anything, and of course! what do I do?? I accidentally printed a bunch of directions on premium glossy photo paper that I left in there. A;SLDKJF;ALSJ CRAP! haha oh well, it's not like I do a lot of photo prints just, WHAT A WASTE! Also! I realized night before convention that I don't have any card stock left. I thought it was, but it was actually like, pre-scored to fold in half, like greeting cards. I'm going to have to make that work I think...
