Oh man, what a trip! What an awesome break from reality. I had fun, more details on the whole con later. I took the air train from JFK airport. Way more frugal than a cab, but it took me 2 hours to get home. My energy is spent!

OOPS!!

So I'm getting ready to go to AC! I just finished printing out a bunch of sample sheets of some newer art or whatever.

And then just now, I was printing some google maps of the area so I wouldn't get lost or forget anything, and of course! what do I do?? I accidentally printed a bunch of directions on premium glossy photo paper that I left in there. A;SLDKJF;ALSJ CRAP! haha oh well, it's not like I do a lot of photo prints just, WHAT A WASTE! Also! I realized night before convention that I don't have any card stock left. I thought it was, but it was actually like, pre-scored to fold in half, like greeting cards. I'm going to have to make that work I think...

awesome.

I just ordered 6 books from Amazon. I was tricked! It did that thing where it was oh, you want this? well you could also get this and this and this also for only, like, 3 more bucks! and I was like yes awesome, I will do that. YES.

OH well, at least, they're mostly hardback, which is classy.

Can't wait, AAAH BOOOOKS. I am close to finishing Musashi by Eiji Yoshikawa
It's awesome, it makes me happy. So when I finish with it, gonna read either Taiko or Shogun, not sure which first.

I'm looking for ecommerce sites with some kind dress-up game integrated.

Something like http://www.polyvore.com/ but even simpler, maybe just one brand.

Anybody know of any examples off the top of your head? My google-fu is failing me, and our internet isn't working great today.

Even just examples of really classy-looking illustrated dress-up games would be great. Thanks!

I went to a cardio kickboxing class at the Y! It was hard! I think I would do it again though. This is the first time I have taken a class since I joined in the summer last year.

I was planning on taking a swim afterward but the pool was closed due to unexpected maintenance. That was disappointing, there is nothing better than taking a relaxing swim after working your ass off.
OH WELL, THIS IS GREAT THOUGH I DON'T HAVE TO GO BACK TIL WEDNESDAY!

some photos.

I had brunch with a friend!!! I had delicious mimosas and steak and eggs in the E. Village.

I went to Best Buy!

I bought a mini-display port to vga adaptor and it actually fixed the screen flicker on my viewsonic lcd. yayz!

I'm gonna take back the usb hub I just bought because all the ports on the mac mini are sideways and super close together so... though sleek and simply designed the Belkin hub just doesn't fit right. It also came with a power adapter, and I wasn't expecting to have to plug it in. I'm at least glad it wasn't in a clam-shell that I had to bust open.

ALSO! and this is kind of bad news. I went to the T-Mobile to figure out wtf is wrong with my Sidekick. They replaced it under the warranty, but in doing that discovered that nothing was wrong with it. Its just not working because I don't pay for an internet plan anymore, soooo best idea is to just get another phone that doesn't require internet somewhere that will exchange for a Sidekick. I'm under contract at T-Mobile so they can't do anything about it. :/

I'm hoping to get this phone.

And so speaking of trading in electronics. I checked on this website. My Sidekick is worth $111, but my Dell Inspiron Notebook is only worth $167. Maybe because the battery is way past needing a replacement, but really? They are so full of lies.
That's like when I was trying to sell my car. I tried to figure out how much my '98 Nissan Altima was worth, and according the the blue book, it was only $900. My mom found somebody to buy it for $3,000. Good for her.

About that clothes shopping...

But you know what's awesome.
I'm not chubby anymore!
This means, I can go into a store, AND WITHOUT TRYING THINGS ON, pick things off the rack, take them home, and they fit lovely.
YEAH.

This is not a slight against ANYONE, I just... thought that was pretty cool. whatever it's my journal. :I

EDIT: Those bras, the pink one fit, but not the tan one. Same size, same style, but different colors fit different. whoops.

Weight loss post... blah blah

Guys, I have lost 15 lbs. I can wear a size 8 yay. :D
I don't really know when I started it, March-ish, but yeah. I diet, and it works. Everybody who knows me knows I never shut up about this but...

I'm super insane about eating healthy food now, haha. Basically I started out by going on a vegan raw food diet, which was one of new year's resolutions that I actually wanted to follow-through. I said to myself that I would only be strict about it for a week, and I was, and then I would go back to my old thing, but it ended up not being so bad. I formed some pretty good habits.
Basically I eat fruit for breakfast, salad for lunch, and more fruit for dinner, whatever for dinner really. Sometimes raisins, natural peanut butter, and apples. It's like little kid food. Lots of smoothies, lots of bananas. Anyway, that was SUCH A shock to my system, so many rules, that it's not so hard to go on a normal healthy sort of diet afterward.
I don't eat bread... really, or if I do, only for one meal a day to balance it out, and I'm not so good about eating meat-free on weekends, when there's BBQ's and things to attend. Also, fish isn't meat... to me.
But yeah, dieting, its totally worth it! Bonus, getting heartburn from GERD hasn't bothered me since I started this regimen.
